Redact PDF Online — Permanently Black Out Sensitive Text
Black out names, numbers and confidential content permanently — true redaction that can never be copied or recovered.
Files never leave your device No installation
Simply drawing a black rectangle over text is not redaction — the text underneath can still be selected and copied. PDF Suite Pro performs true redaction: the marked areas are permanently removed and flattened, so the hidden content cannot be recovered by any means.
Redaction runs locally in your browser, which matters most for exactly the documents you’d redact — legal filings, medical records, financial statements and personal data.

Frequently asked questions
Is this real redaction or just black boxes?
Real redaction. The pages are flattened so the content beneath each box is permanently destroyed — it cannot be selected, copied or extracted afterwards.
Can redacted text be recovered?
No. Unlike a drawn rectangle, redacted content is removed from the file entirely.
What should I redact before sharing a document?
Common items include names, addresses, account and ID numbers, signatures, salaries and any personal data covered by privacy rules like GDPR or HIPAA.
